Winkler, K., Handbook of Bavarian Postmarks, here the original linen edition from 1951, complete with stamp plates and list of postal locations, collaborators Böes, Hopf and Pfenniger, 383 pages, with illustrations and ratings, here privately bound in black linen with spine embossing. Paper inevitably browned, otherwise in good condition. Still a current standard work today. Complete with 4 stamp plates and the 8 supplements with the postal location directories 'before 1876': Palatinate, Swabia, Upper Bavaria, Upper Franconia, Lower Bavaria, Lower Franconia, Upper Palatinate and Middle Franconia, each with a map on the back. Enclosed is a copy of the 12-page addendum by Gundel. #2022
