Description
The German Philatelist, illustrated magazine for all postage stamp customers. Edited by Hans Müller with the assistance of serious philatelists, 2nd year, 1908, bound in half-linen with marbling and book corners, former library copy with spine signature, Gustav Freyse publishing house in Hanover. In good condition, paper only slightly browned at the edges, some supplements more browned. It contains extremely interesting articles on stamp customers and stamp forgeries by Paul Ohrt, e.g. on Oldenburg, the German colonies, etc., as well as by Müller on Samoa, 2nd part, now on the American post office with a list of letters with mixed franking of the Palm issue with US stamps! But old Germany is also well represented with a noteworthy article by Kleine, New York on the essays from Hanover. Very good and rarely offered magazine! #47676
