Catalogue and handbook, 1994, 5 volumes complete, over 900 pages in total, many illustrations, only self-published in Canada, the author died shortly after the first partial edition of an estimated 50 copies. German collectors are unlikely to have heard of the new publication at the time, and the price of USD 175 + postage was very high at the time, we have only had it on offer 5 times since 1994, including from the largest German libraries of the time, including 'Taunus' and 'Rolf Ritter' (2x), now we can offer the work again and even in freshly printed, unread condition. Since the volumes were recommended as further reading in the Michel special catalogue, there has been a lively demand for this work. There is no other comprehensive work on the drafts, essays and proofs of all of Old Germany and the German Empire, apart from Reinheimer's description of Schroeder's essay collection from 1903 and Doberer's small catalogue from 1963! The bindings of most copies are slightly bumped from shipping from Canada, which is not the case here! The minimal scratches on the bindings are unavoidable due to the manufacturing process. #48539
